Follow Public Art in your town!
Make sure to grab your very own PUBLIC ART tour book FREE all over Charleston this weekend! It’s lots of work pulling together a comprehensive collection of public art in one little city, but thanks to a National Endowment for the Arts Our Town grant, the Charleston Area Alliance, the Clay Center, the Arts Council of Kanawha Valley, our very own public art consultant from Pittsburgh (thanks Rene!), and the keen lens of Emily Porter Photography — we hope you’ll be able to explore the public art in our town with a whole new set of eyes!
Check out this great article on how well the book has been received by the community – so excited people are developing wonder of the public art around them. Thanks for the shoutout Charleston Gazette !
Got to be on site while with the construction crew for the new @flatbushcatonmarket space! Flatbush Caton Market is New York’s only Caribbean open market. We’re happy to see it all come together and give these new vendors a beautiful temporary space while their current one is renovated. In the wise words of Fitzgerald here, “Love what you do and do what you love, you can’t compromise on stuff like that!” We totally agree 🇵🇷🇵🇳🇰🇳🇯🇲🇰🇳🇩🇴🇻🇮🇨🇺🇧🇸 #caribbean #flatbush #nyc #weloveit #construction
