Global Studio Sappi Grant Recipients

For the past year Megan has been working with a talented network of designers and architects through Global Studio,  place-based action research program where international students, academics, and professionals come together through design to collaborate with disadvantaged communities. Most recently, MESH partnered with Global Studio and Columbia University’s Center for Sustainable Urban Development to receive a SAPPI Ideas that Matter grant for a traveling exhibition to share Global Studio’s work, process, and insights on inclusive design and development. The exhibition is set to travel to six countries and 12 cities across the world in the next year, launching in Mumbai at the onset of 2013. Stay tuned for progress updates, exhibition dates, and design work on the panels, the book, and the poster available at each exhibition. Big thanks to SAPPI papers for making the grant available to realize projects like these!

We take design research v seriously. Just a casual Friday night with MESH x THEATERWORKS collaboration, doing discovery “field research” at their gorgeous constellations production. They hired us to design a website but we’re thinking we may have a chance on stage with our girlbandlook? 🤞🤞🤞😬😬🤗 (j.k) #theaterworkshartford #constellations #designresearch #contemporaryrealism #weekendwarriors (thanks for bringing us in @livingenough 🖤)
