About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Content Strategist who excels at executing and coordinating content across platforms to join our team in a remote contract role. This role is ideal for someone who can take established strategy and translate it into clear, accurate, and well-coordinated content across multiple channels. You are both strategic & executional, balancing coordination, execution, and hands-on content support. You are comfortable coordinating work with multiple collaborators in different time zones, including both our internal team of designers, writers, web managers, PR & Creative Director & of course, our clients.
You will serve as the central coordinator of content assets, ensuring that all pieces (copy, video, graphics, and publishing) are aligned, complete, and accurately reflected in content calendars. You will work from an existing strategy and focus on execution, coordination, and ensuring content is implemented accurately and on time.
You will work closely with our Creative Director & team to manage content calendars, coordinate with clients, & serve as the central point of coordination across content production bringing together strategy, design, video, & publishing workflows for mission-driven organizations like Tara Health Foundation & Futura Foundation. Success in this role means ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks, all content is accurate, aligned, and ready to go live across platforms. Your daily work in this role will center around all things content.
1. Content Strategy & Planning
- Manage & maintain content calendars (in google sheets) across multiple clients
- Coordinate content ideas aligned with brand, campaigns, & launches
- Translate existing strategy into clear, actionable content plans within content calendars
- Ensure consistency in messaging across platforms & deliverables
- Ensure all content reflects the most up-to-date timelines, campaign changes, and priorities (e.g. shifting event dates, updated messaging)
2. Content Writing & Formatting
- Draft &/or refine social media captions, mailchimp newsletters
- Refine & proof incoming blog writing
- Adapt content across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Spotify, Mailchimp, etc.)
- Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, tone, & Brand Writing Style Guide
3. Content Production Coordination
- Client Coordination & Content Gathering
- Act as a point of contact for content-related needs with clients
- Proactively request & gather, organize & track incoming client information (e.g. event details, updates, assets)
- Asset Coordination from Teams
- Serve as the central coordinator across all content production workflows, ensuring alignment between strategy, creative, & execution;
- Manage & coordinate inputs from internal collaborators, including: Designers (e.g. graphics for social & campaigns), Video team (short-form & long-form content), Account managers (content reviews & approvals before client delivery, Website manager (blog updates & publishing coordination)
- Ensure all required assets (graphics, video, copy) are gathered & integrated into content calendars in a timely manner
- Coordinate internal review cycles for Mailchimp, LinkedIn, & blog content prior to client submission
- Collaborate closely with the Creative Director, Brand Strategist, & PR consultants to ensure content aligns with broader brand & communications strategy
- Proactively follow up on content needs and ensure all assets are collected, organized, and ready for publishing
4. Publishing & Platform Management (bonus, not required)
- Publish content across social & email platforms
- Apply best practices for each platform (hashtags, formatting, tagging, etc.)
- Support light analytics tracking & performance insights

Experience & Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in content strategy, social media, or digital marketing
- Experience working with multiple clients, brands, or content streams
- Experience in an agency or studio environment is a plus
Skills
- Strong writing & editing skills (clear, concise, on-brand)
- Strong fluency in social platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Spotify, Mailchimp), including an understanding of platform-specific best practices (formatting, captions, tagging, native features, etc.)
- Up-to-date knowledge of platform trends and content formats (e.g. Reels, Shorts, native vs. embedded captions)
- Experience owning content calendars & planning tools
- Strong cross-functional coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders & coordinate media from different disciplines (design, video, strategy, client teams)
- Experience coordinating with multiple collaborators across teams
- Comfortable working in Google Workspace & collaborative documents
